Day 1
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in San Francisco and set off eastbound towards the famous Yosemite National Park. During the 5 hour journey through inland California, the guide will tell you all about some of the unmissable spots you'll find in this protected natural area.
When we get to Yosemite Park, you'll be able to see the famous giant sequoias (weather permitting) that can grow up to 330 feet (100 metres) tall. We'll also do a 2-hour tour to see the following places: Tunnel View, Bridalveil Falls, and Half-Dome.
Around lunchtime, we'll drop you off at the Yosemite Falls Car Park and you'll have the rest of the day free to explore the park at your leisure and make your own way to your selected hotel.
We recommend hiking and relaxing while watching and listening to Yosemite's rivers and waterfalls. The waterfalls are surrounded by a unique natural environment, home to numerous species such as raccoons, deer and black bears.
Day 2
You'll have the second day to spend as you please until approximately 2 pm. At that time, we'll pick you up at the Yosemite Falls Car Park. We'll board our bus to leave Yosemite behind and descend through the Sierra back to San Francisco.
Before leaving the park, we'll stop at El Capitan Meadow and look out over the Merced River and the granite mountains of the park.
On the way back, weather permitting, we'll visit Tuolumne Grove to see the famous giant sequoias. We'll also stop at a restaurant so you can get yourself dinner.
Finally, we'll drive you back to the pickup point.
Accommodation
This tour includes 1 night's accommodation at one of the following hotels, depending on your chosen category:
- Accommodation in a rustic lodge: Yosemite Bug Rustic Mountain Resort. The price is per person in a shared room.
- Accommodation in a 3-star hotel: Yosemite View Lodge. The price is per person in a double room.
The tour doesn't include transportation between the park and the accommodation, so you'll need to take a bus on your own.
Important
Please note that pickup starts at 5:20 am and the return to San Francisco will be at around 9 pm the next day.
